iOS 16.7.10 is the latest software update for these iPhone models. These are the devices that Apple left behind on iOS 16. iOS 16.7.10 isn’t available for newer iPhone models compatible with iOS 17.
Like its most recent predecessors, iOS 16.7.10 is a point release and it brings under-the-hood improvements to these iPhone models. While small, it’s an important release.

If your iPhone is currently running on iOS 16.7.9, you’ll see the smallest download size. iOS 16.7.10 requires a small download and most users won’t have to make room for the firmware.
As for the installation, it should take in and around 10 minutes to complete. It took about eight minutes to install the software on an iPhone X.

iOS 16.7.10 Features
iOS 16.7.10 is a maintenance release and it doesn’t have any outward facing features on board. Instead, it patches up issues.
Apple says the update includes important bug fixes and addresses an issue that prevents enabling or disabling Advanced Data Protection.
iOS 16.7.10 doesn’t have any new security patches on board.
iOS 16.7.10 Jailbreak
If you still jailbreak your iPhone, avoid iOS 16.7.10.
Developers have released a jailbreak that works with older versions of iOS. Unfortunately, the jailbreak doesn’t work with iOS 16.7.10.
This could change in the weeks ahead so keep your eyes peeled for new information.
