HAMDEN — The Hamden Police Department is experiencing an interruption to its telephone services, including 911 calls, according to police.

In the meantime, a temporary “non-emergency” phone line of 203-499-7109 has been established for any routine calls for service, police said in an email.

The 911 calls have been re-routed to the New Haven Police Department, which will assist in dispatching Hamden emergency personnel to any emergencies in town, include police, fire and ambulance services, police said,

The utility companies are in the process of repairing the phone services. An update will be issued once services are restored, police said.
