Today is Earth Day, which means it’s another day to close your rings!
In celebration of Earth Day, Apple is hosting the Earth Day Challenge for Apple Watch users today. The challenge, which was originally announced back at the beginning of April, challenges Apple Watch owners to complete any workout for at least 30 minutes.
April 22, 2021: Earth Day Challenge: Let’s get out and celebrate the planet on Earth Day, April 22. Do any workout for 30 minutes or more to earn this award. Record your time with the Workout app or any app that adds workouts to Health.
For the Earth Day Challenge, you’ll be able to log your workout in any app that connects with the Health app. This means that, in addition to completing a 30-minute workout in Apple’s own Workout app on the Apple Watch or through Apple Fitness+, users can also complete exercises in Health-connected apps like Nike Run Club.
Completing the challenge will win you a virtual trophy as well as unlock exclusive stickers you can use in the Messages and FaceTime app. You should get a notification that you’ve completed the challenge on your Apple Watch and find your trophy in the Fitness app on the iPhone or iPad. You should then also see your new exclusive stickers become available in the Messages and FaceTime app.
