Among the 100,000 people who journeyed to the polo fields of Indio in Riverside County for the giant Coachella music festival this weekend was Apple CEO Tim Cook, sporting the ultimate dad outfit.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, an annual musical extravaganza that takes place in the desert, is known for its electronic dance music and surreal sets — but also its statement-making fashion, thanks in no small part to appearances by supermodels and the Kardashian family.

Cook has no children but is known for dressing the part in “dad jeans.” The Apple chief turned out for Coachella in a polo, a windbreaker and thick-rimmed glasses.

No flower crown for the titan of tech.

Electronic dance musician Thomas Wesley Pentz, better known by his stage name Diplo, tweeted a photo of the two enjoying a concert at Coachella, where Diplo played a set Friday on the first day of the festival.

“.@tim_cook asked me to send him this but he doesn’t follow me.. so if everyone could tag him that would be great,” Diplo tweeted Sunday morning, sharing a photo of them.

A spokesman for Apple did not immediately respond to an email request for comment.

Diplo’s tweet racked up a thousand “likes” within minutes of posting.

Twitter had fun responses.
