JOHNSTON CITY (WSIL) — A local community continues to rally around a woman hurt in a car crash in Williamson County.

30-year-old Carmen Colson of Johnston City suffered life-threatening injuries after she was thrown from her SUV late last month.

Her co-workers at Rob’s Pit BBQ hosted a spaghetti dinner for her at the Johnston City Masonic Lodge on Wednesday night. All proceeds will go straight to Carmen’s medical expenses.

“She’s usually the first person that I call when I need something, and right now, she needs the help and she needs the love. She’s overwhelmed with it all right now,” family friend Emily Huber said. “She’s just so appreciative that everyone is there for her right now with all of the prayers and fundraisers going on.”

Multiple fundraisers are still planned to help Carmen get back on her feet, including a GoFundMe page.
