Porsche Taycan

Porsche is the finest internal combustion engine maker in the world. The expectations were high when it announced an electric car and Porsche delivered.

The Porsche Taycan makes 750 hp with 774 lb-ft of torque. It goes from 0-100kmph in 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 260 km/h. Weighing in at a massive 2,295 kg, the fastest road-certified EV in the world is estimated to cost ₹ 2.5 Cr. when it launches in India.

Tesla Model 3 (2021)

Tesla is the most popular carmaker in the world right now, and for good reason. The marvellous Tesla Model 3 has been the company’s top-selling model since it launched in 2013. It generates 221 hp and 302 lb-ft of torque, which takes this electric car just 3.2 seconds to go from 0 to 100 kmph. It has an incredible top speed of 261 kmph, although we wouldn’t suggest going that fast. The EV from Tesla costs about ₹ 60 lakh in India.

Audi e-Tron GT

The Porsche Taycan and Audi e-Tron GT are similar-looking cars and were developed together. The two electric engines in the GT produce 637 hp with 612 lb-ft of torque. This electric vehicle does 0-100 kmph in just 3.3 seconds and goes up to 250 kmph. Push on the pedal and experience the electrifying take-off of this car which is priced at around ₹ 2 Cr.

Ford Mustang Mach-E

The Mach-E takes its name from the company’s iconic pony car. The all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E is a beast that generates 346 hp with 468 lb-ft of torque. It weighs a little less than 2000 kg and goes from 0-100 in just 4.1 seconds. It goes up to 210 kmph and will cost you about ₹ 75 lakh in India.

Tesla Model 3 (2022)

The Model 3 is insanely quick and takes off like a military jet. It generates a massive 503 hp with 531 lb-ft of torque. It is enjoyable to drive and the best-in-class driving range of this electric car is a huge plus. The Plaid version of the car does 0-100 in 2.1 seconds. The top speed of the Tesla Model 3 is 250 kmph. Its expected cost in India is around ₹ 70 lakh to ₹ 1 Cr.

To push the gas pedal on this beauty, you need courage. We are not kidding about that. The Rimac Nevera generates an unbelievable 1877 hp with 1741 lb-ft of torque. This electric vehicle is breathtakingly fast. It is unlike anything you will ever see. It goes from 0-100 in just 2.8 seconds and 0-200 in just 5.53 seconds. Imagine going 200 kmph in a little over 5 seconds. The Nevera costs around ₹ 2 Cr. in India.

Pininfarina Battista

Pininfarina has designed 64 Ferraris since its inception 91 years ago. So, it knows a thing or two about design. The Pininfarina Battista is not only good-looking, but also fast. How fast, you ask? It goes from 0-100 kmph in just 2 seconds and has a top speed of 350 kmph. This electric vehicle is an incredible beast that manages to look stunning when it flies. It costs around ₹ 17 Cr.

The Japanese are known for their engineering prowess. So, it isn’t surprising to see them competing in the space of fast EVs. The Aspark Owl is not just fast, it is the fastest of the lot.
