Honor has kicked off a bunch of back to school bundles with its brand new 16in MagicBook Pro laptop. For £849.99, which is the price of the laptop alone, customers can pick up additional freebies such as:

If you’re unfamiliar with the MagicBook Pro, it’s currently one of the cheapest large screen laptops to enter the market. Its closest competitors are the LG gram 17 and Dell XPS 17 – both with 17in displays, and both over £1K, at £1,250 and £1,799 respectively.

The MagicBook Pro is lightweight and powered with the a Ryzen 5 processor, which means you get excellent performance – just see our review.

Of course, at a lower price point, there are some compromises. You don’t get a discrete GPU or Thunderbolt, and additionally, while the display is vivid and reaches a 99% sRGB colour coverage (sRGB is the standard colour gamut for monitors), it only offers 73% AdobeRGB (which is the most accurate gamut for print colour conversion), and 76% DCI-P3 (this is the “Digital Cinema Initiatives” standard for cinema-quality colour).

The display limitations might be a flag for creative professionals or art students who require colour accuracy. On the other hand, if you just intend to watch Netflix or YouTube videos, the MagicBook Pro remains an excellent choice.

Head to Honor to pick it up now, along with an additional Honor gadget of your choice.
