Minecraft Dungeons is a perfectly great co-op focused ARPG from the makers of Minecraft, Mojang Studios. Since launch, it’s added tons of new content through paid DLC expansions like the recently released Howling Peaks DLC. Back at Minecraft Live, when Howling Peaks was announced, we also got a sneak peek at other DLCs coming to Minecraft Dungeons. This sneak peek included locations from the Nether, underwater, and the End.
Today, on Twitter, the Minecraft Dungeons team shared another teaser that likely confirms what we already suspected: the next Minecraft Dungeons DLC is going to the Nether.
The teaser image shows three piglins in the Nether, indicating that Minecraft Dungeons will take place in the newly updated Nether world, complete with the all-new mobs. Expect a brutal fight with piglins and likely new gear fashioned either out of gold or netherite.
There’s no release date or even an official confirmation about the next DLC for Minecraft Dungeons, but we likely won’t have too long to wait based on previous releases. Players can buy the Season Pass right now to gain access to Howling Peaks and the next three DLCs for Minecraft Dungeons, including the aforementioned escapade into the Nether.
Minecraft Dungeons is available for Xbox and PC, and our Minecraft Dungeons review paints it as “easily one of the best games Microsoft has put out in the past decade.” Minecraft Dungeon is definitely at its best when played with friends, so be sure to grab one of the Best Headsets for Xbox Series X|S to stay in touch with your team.
