Oppo’s Oppo Reno 8 series was recently unveiled in China. The Oppo Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 Pro+ are part of the lineup.
Oppo also used the event to unveil the Oppo Pad Air, a new low-cost tablet, as well as the new Oppo Enco R earbuds. The specifications and prices of the Oppo Pad Air and Oppo Enco R buds will be discussed in this article.
Specifications of the Oppo Pad Air
The Oppo Pad Air has a 10.36-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2,000 x 1,200 pixels. Unfortunately, it only has a 60 Hz refresh rate, but given the display’s size and target price, we assume that there wasn’t enough room for a higher refresh rate. The slate also includes Quad Speakers with Dolby Atmos for immersive multimedia. With a weight of only 440 grams, the device lives up to its Air catchphrase. Surprisingly, there is an 8 MP main rear camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC is paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage in the Oppo Pad Air. A micro SD card can be used to expand the storage. Unfortunately, cellular connectivity is not an option, so you’re limited to Wi-Fi networks. In any case, the phone runs ColorOS Pad, a new Android 12 skin. The lights are kept on by a 7,100 mAh battery with support for 18 W fast charging.
Price and Availability of the Oppo Pad Air
The Pad Air is available in two colour options: Star Silver and Fog Grey. The entry-level model costs CNY 1,299 (approximately $195). A higher-end model with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage costs CNY 1,699 ($255). Separate accessories, such as a keyboard cover and a stylus, are also available from Oppo.
OPPO Enco R Specifications
The OPPO Enco R has a design that is similar to Apple’s first-generation AirPods. Its tips are contoured to fit comfortably in your ears. To make it much easier to tell out which pod goes into which ear, the stems are labeled left and right. The Enco R earbuds are also extremely light at only 3.5 grams (individual earbuds).
For a crisp, balanced sound profile, the earbuds have large 13.4mm dynamic drivers. Connectivity is provided by Bluetooth 5.2, and the AAC audio codec is supported. The earbuds have a low latency mode of 94ms for gaming and touch control for controlling media, answering calls, and accessing the voice assistant. The device also has a unique feature that allows it to use the camera of the paired smartphone to record video or take photos. You will Pull out one of the earbuds and double-tap its back to activate this mode.
The earbuds are sweat and splash resistant to IPX4 standards. The Enco R does not have adaptive noise cancellation, but it does have an AI-based noise reduction feature for calls.
When it comes to battery life, each earbud is equipped with a 27mAh battery that is rated to last up to four hours on a single charge. The earbuds can play for up to 20 hours with the charging case, which houses a 300mAh battery. Finally, the charging case has a USB Type-C port, which makes charging a breeze.
Price and Availability of the OPPO Enco R
The OPPO Enco R is available for pre-order in China and costs 299 yuan ($45). Starting May 31, the earbuds will be for sale.
