The Queen has recorded a special television address about the coronavirus outbreak which will be broadcast on Sunday night, Buckingham Palace has announced.

The address, which follows a message of hope sent out on social media this week by the Prince of Wales, was recorded at Windsor Castle on Thursday.

In the message the Queen is likely to praise the efforts of health workers and all those who have been helping in the fight against Covid-19 and offer reassurance to the nation.
