Vadodara: Burglars escaped with mobile phones worth Rs 19 lakh from two shops near Manjusar GIDC in Vadodara district on Sunday.
The incident took place at Gangotri and Singh mobile stores located in Shivam Plaza near Manjusar GIDC around 1.30 am Sunday. Police said that the thieves broke the shutters of the two shops, one of which is on the ground floor and the other on the first floor and entered inside.
“There were three person with covered faces and one of them had worn a cap,” said a police official.
The thieves are seen collecting mobile phones in a box and fleeing away from there in the CCTV camera footages. “In all there were 158 mobile phones and we are investigating on all possible theories,” said sub-inspector H M Vaghela of Bhadarva police station.
The two shops were owned by Surendrasinh Parmar and Abhishek Singh.
