A bunch of cell phones won’t be able to connect to T-Mobile’s network because of a planned network update.
According to T-Mobile’s website, the affected devices are not able to get the software update that would let them stay connected.
The cellular provider said on a support page that it makes updates to its network often to give the best possible wireless experience.
The network update will be happening on January 29th, 2021.
T-Mobile said all other impacted devices have been sent a software update to help that device stay connected on its network.
The company said if you have not updated your software, you should do so now to make sure your service is not be impacted.
The affected devices include:
- AT&T and Verizon Galaxy Note 4 (T-Mobile branded version is not impacted, but will need to update to latest software version)
- AT&T Galaxy Note Edge
- HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle
- HTC Desire 650
- Google Nexus 9
- Huawei Mate 8
- Huawei P9
- Mikrotikls SIA R11e-LTE6
- OnePlus 1
- Quanta Computer Inc Quanta DragonIR7
- Samsung Galaxy S5 Duos
- Sony Xperia Z3 Compact
- Sony Xperia Z3
- Sony Xperia Z3 Orion
- Sony D6616 Xperia Z3 Orion
- Soyea Mobile Communication Equipment Co Ltd SOYEA M02
- ZTE ZMAX
T-Mobile’s website also includes the Arlo Security Camera System on its list but the company says it’s in talks with Arlo to get the issue fixed.
The cellular provider said affected customers should contact it to arrange an upgrade.
