  • We ran polls asking which side you favor in the S21 Ultra vs Note 20 Ultra fight.
  • The full totals of all the polls paint the Galaxy S21 Ultra as the clear winner.
  • However, the votes within our re-review of the Note 20 Ultra fall overwhelmingly on its side.

Last weekend, we published a re-review of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra now that the phone is six months old. Although we concluded that the phone is still pretty incredible, we couldn’t help but feel the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra now overshadows it. In the end, we sided with the Galaxy S21 Ultra as the better buy.

Of course, our opinion on the S21 Ultra vs Note 20 Ultra battle is just that: our opinion. It turns out that there are a lot of people out there who disagree with us and think the Note 20 Ultra surpasses the S21 Ultra. Despite the S21 Ultra being newer, more powerful, and even less expensive, it’s just no substitute for a Note in the eyes of many.

Below, you’ll find all the data we gathered from our polls. All in all, there were tens-of-thousands of votes across Android Authority and our associated social media pages.

S21 Ultra vs Note 20 Ultra: The data

In the chart below, we’ve gathered the data from the three places we ran the poll. Here at Android Authority, there were 1,738 votes. Our Twitter poll saw 2,553 votes and our YouTube poll saw over 23,000 votes.

Interestingly, the outlier chart is the one sourced from this website. The data we compiled here is nearly the exact opposite of the data we collected from the other polls. In other words, there was a higher proportion of Note fans voting here at the site than there were on Twitter and YouTube.

What’s even more interesting is that the S21 Ultra vs Note 20 Ultra battle results on YouTube and Twitter are nearly identical. This is incredible when you consider YouTube saw roughly ten-times as many votes as Twitter. Thus, it appears those two sets of results are likely a more accurate representation of our followers’ feelings.

It’s quite obvious that Note fans are a very passionate bunch. Here are some of the comments we saw across all three platforms related to this S21 Ultra vs Note 20 Ultra battle.

I have both of these phones and the performance difference is minor and they are both very good phones, but at the end of the day, the S21 Ultra even with the S-Pen case is still not a Note. Note 20 Ultra in my opinion is still all around a better phone.

You can only compare a Note with a Note.

I’ve been using my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra at home without a case lately, and the camera bump hasn’t been an issue at all. Other than that, I hate to say I agree with this review in general, and that’s coming from a huge Note fan whose last three phones have been Notes.

As a Note 20 Ultra user who came from a Huawei Mate 20 Pro, I largely agree with most of the points cited in the article. I particularly agree about the camera bump, which is a hassle as far as pockets are concerned (it likes to catch on things when putting it in a pants pocket).

Beats it in design?! Ah, no… The Note 20 Ultra is literally the most beautiful looking phone ever.

If you’re going ULTRA, you kind of need the S-Pen housed within the phone. It is part of the Ultra experience and makes a big difference.

S21 Ultra 💪💪💪 I am loving the battery life of this device, plus I can play PUBG, Call of Duty very well on this phone.

Poll is missing the option, “Not an overrated Samsung” so I couldn’t vote…
