NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker Vivo has expanded its S-series of smartphones with the launch of Vivo S7 in China. The smartphone has a starting price tag of 2789 yuan (Rs 30,150) and will come in Gradient Blue, Jazz Black, and Moonlight White colour options. Vivo S7 smartphone is already up for preorders and will go on sale starting August 8.
Vivo S7 specifications
Vivo S7 features a 6.44-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The AMOLED display comes with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by an Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor with Adreno 620 GPU.
Vivo S7 packs 8GB of RAM and comes in two storage options of 128GB and 256GB. The smartphone runs Android 10 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of FunTouch OS 10.5. The device has dual SIM functionality and comes equipped with a Rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
As for the camera, the Vivo S7 sports a triple rear camera setup with 64MP main sensor with f/1.89 aperture, 8MP 119° ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, and 2MP mono camera with f/2.4 aperture. The front of the device houses a dual-selfie camera which comprises 44MP autofocus primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 8MP secondary ultra-wide camera with f/2.28 aperture.
Measuring 158.82×74.2×7.39mm, Vivo S7 houses a 4,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The smartphone offer 5G, Dual 4G, VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and USB Type C as connectivity options.
Recently, Vivo reduced the price of its mid-range smartphone Vivo V19 in India. The handset was launched in May in two storage variants of 128GB and 256GB at Rs 27,990 and Rs 31,990 respectively. The price of both the variants has been reduced by up to Rs 4,000. After the price cut, the 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage will cost Rs 24,990, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage is now selling at Rs 27,990.
