Just like clockwork, Samsung is back with new foldables.
As was widely expected, they’re known as the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6. But despite looking a lot like their predecessors, there are more upgrades than you might think, with improvements to both the hardware and software – including seven years of updates.
In this article, we’re focusing on the Z Flip 6, which has plenty of exciting new features.
If you’re tempted to buy one, you’ve come to the right place. Pre-orders are live now, and there are some additional benefits available if you buy one before release day.

When will the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 be released?
Samsung officially announced the Galaxy Z Flip 6 on 10 July 2024, alongside the Z Fold 6, Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra.
Pre-orders are live now, ahead of the device (in fact, all of the products) going on sale from 24 July.
How much does the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 cost?
Compared to the Z Flip 5, Samsung has increased the starting price of the Z Flip 6 by $100 in the US, but kept it the same in the UK. Here’s the pricing for all three configurations:
- 12GB RAM, 256GB storage – £1,049/$1,099.99
- 12GB RAM, 512GB storage – £1,149/$1,199.99
For context, that’s slightly more expensive than the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra, which starts at £999/$999.
