The Black Shark 3S is the latest gaming smartphone to hit the market. It comes with considerably upgrades from the Black Shark 3.
It is built around a 6.67″ AMOLED display panel which features a 120Hz refresh rate and 270 Hz touch sampling rate. There two pressure-sensitive zones on the display that can be mapped to different actions. The display has a 1080p resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 500 nits brightness, 105% DCI-P3 and 3rd generation MEMC.
Just like the Black Shark 3, it is powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset and comes with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Software-wise, it comes with the latest JOYUI12 which has screen mirroring feature.
The camera specs are the same as on the Black Shark 3. The main module features a 64MP lens with f/1.8 aperture, a 13MP ultrawide lens with 120° FoV and a 5MP depth lens. The top bezel is where you’ll find the 20MP selfie camera.
To reduce the temperature of the device especially when gaming, the Black Shark team built an external cooling system that can be added to the phone. Battery capacity is 4,729 mAh with support of 65W fast charging. It takes about 12 minutes to get to 50% and 38 minutes for a full charge. There is an 18W magnetic charger that attaches to the back of the phone enabling you to play and charge simultaneously.
