A Haunting in Venice is the third adaptation of Agatha Christie’s novel in the series created by Kenneth Branagh. The film hit cinemas on 15 September, and the horror tale will soon be available to watch from the comfort of your own home.
Inspired by All Hallows’ Eve novel, the film hits the gothic notes much more strongly than the book. Kenneth Branagh, who directed and starred in the movie, sets the action in a ruined Italian palazzo. A séance held in the building gets out of hand, and the old mansion shows signs of being haunted. Retired detective Hercule Poirot tries to solve the mystery of a young girl’s death while unravelling the secrets of the paranormal activities.
