First Dimensity 9200+ powered smartphone tipped to launch in May

At present, the Dimensity 9200 is the most powerful MediaTek chipset available on the market. So far, only the Vivo X90, X90 Pro, and OPPO Find X6 smartphones have featured it. Rumours are rife that the Taiwanese chip maker is working on the Dimensity 9200+, which could be an overclocked version of the D9200 chip. A new Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station reveals that the first D9200+-powered smartphone will debut in May.

The tipster further said that the Dimensity 9200+ will rival Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Around August, there will be phones powered by the D9200+ and SD8Gen2 competing with each other in the 3,000 Yuan ($435) price range.
