SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WKEF) — Police in Springfield are investigating a disturbance at an auto parts store Friday night.
A large police presence responded to O’Reilly Auto Parts in Springfield at about 9:07 p.m., according to Lt. Holt, with Springfield Police Division.
Holt said according to initial reports, a man entered the store with a gun, and fired a gunshot sending people running from the store.
Police couldn’t confirm if any gunshot was fired. The man later barricaded himself inside the store, Springfield Police said.
SWAT crews were also called to the scene. The man was taken into custody and taken to a local hospital for an evaluation.
No injuries were reported. There’s no threat to the community.
Police are currently investigating.
