Samsung Electronics Co. surpassed Apple Inc. in global smartphone sales in February thanks to strong demand for its latest Galaxy S24 series.

Samsung Electronics’ resurgence is largely credited to its latest release, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, acclaimed for having the best smartphone camera by U.S. Consumer Reports magazine, scoring 87 points compared to iPhone 15 Pro Max‘s 86. Alongside, the Galaxy S24+ secured third place with 85 points.

Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics’ all-in-one washer-dryer is receiving positive response in the U.S. for its low energy consumption.

According to the Energy Star administered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the annual energy consumption of Samsung‘s Bespoke AI Combo U.S. model was 319 kWh. The CEF rating was 7.50, outperforming competing models such as LG Electronics Inc.’s Tromm Objet Collection Wash Combo U.S. model, which consumed 380 kWh and had a CEF of 6.3, and General Electric Co.‘s washer-dryer products, which consumed 399 kWh and had a CEF of 6.
