Skywell BE11 EV unveiled at Everything Electric Show UK

The Skywell BE11 has been unveiled by broadcaster and EV expert Rob Llewellyn at the Everything Electric Show in Harrogate, United Kingdom.

The battery electric vehicle (BEV) front-wheel drive for the mid-size SUV market has an option of a 72kWh and 86kWh NMC lithium-ion battery with about 400km and 490km (WLTP) range respectively.

All models are powered by a spritely 150kW/320Nm motor which propels the BE11 to nearly 100km/h in 9.6 seconds and can reach about150km/h top speed.

It has a stylish interior and advanced features (safety and advanced driver assistance systems).

A single high-specification trim level includes a 12.8-inch touchscreen display featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a DAB radio, three USB ports and a Metz sound system with eight speakers; heated and ventilated seats and motion-sensing electric rear tailgate.

The Skywell BE11 is 4702mm long, 1908mm wide and 1696mm high.

Pricing and most charging times have yet to be confirmed and the Skywell BE11 has a seven-year/160,934km warranty plus an eight year/241,401km battery warranty.

The Skywell BE11 will be available to pre-order in the UK through the Innovation Automotive (IA) website from August 2024, with the first models arriving in IA’s growing dealer network in September.

The BEV’s exterior includes ‘razor’ LED headlights, sharp contours and stylish chrome accents, while black skirting provides an effective shield against stone-chips and scratches, and a large opening panoramic “Skyroof”.

It has ‘Lynx’ 19-inch diamond-cut wheels and sleek roof rails.

At the rear are a sculpted rear spoiler, large silver skid plate, and a powerful Skywell-illuminated rear lightbar.

The Skywell brand was formed in 2017 by Skyworth, one of the world’s largest consumer electronics brands, and the Nanjing Golden Dragon Bus Company.
