Upcoming Realme GT 5 Smartphone Appears on the Geekbench Database Ahead of its Confirmed Launch


The Chinese smartphone maker, Realme, had recently confirmed the launch of its upcoming GT 5 smartphone, and ahead of its launch that is scheduled to take place this month in August 2023, the device has made its appearance on the Geekbench database.

Realme GT 5 Spotted on Geekbench

The upcoming GT 5 smartphone from Realme has been spotted on the Geekbench database with the model number RMX3820 and has received a single-core score of 1491 points and a multi-core score of 4087 points. Some of its key specifications have also been revealed with its Geekbench listing.

Realme’s GT 5 smartphone will run on the Android 13-based operating system and will have a motherboard with the codename – Kalama. Speaking about its chipset architecture, it has a core configuration with 1+4+3 cores and its primary core is clocked at 3.19 GHz. Regarding the other cores, its performance cores have a clock speed of 2.80 GHz, and the base cores are clocked at 2.02 GHz.

It has thus been confirmed that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset from Qualcomm and to note, this is not the overclocked version. The smartphone will also be integrated with the Adreno 740 chipset and will have a 16GB RAM variant as well.

Realme has confirmed the launch of the GT 5 smartphone in its home market in China and the teaser image shared reveals the smartphone to have its launch on the 28th of August 2023, at 2 PM local time. Just to add, along with the smartphone, the brand will also be unveiling the Realme Buds Air 5 earbuds for the Chinese market too.

Realme GT 5 Specifications

As far as the specs are concerned, it has now been confirmed that the smartphone will come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and will have the Android 13 operating system out of the box. The device will also be coupled with an LPDDR5x RAM of upto 24GB and a UFS 4.0 internal storage of upto 1TB.

The smartphone is also expected to feature a 1.5K OLED display with a screen size of 6.74″ and a 144Hz refresh rate. At its rear, the device is expected to sport a 50MP(main) + 8MP(ultrawide) + 2MP(macro) triple camera setup and a front-facing camera of 16MP.

Realme GT 5 smartphone is also said to have two battery variants, one packing a 4600 mAh battery and the other backed by a 5200 mAh battery. The 4600 mAh variant will support a 240W fast charge feature, whereas the 5200 mAh model is likely to have 150W fast charge support.
